Walking Man

The Walking Man was born from the idea of breathing life into metal, and he does seem poised to set off on a journey somewhere. Fashioned from a 3mm sheet of aluminum, precisely bent and angled to create the delicate balance which keeps him upright, he strides through the world with his head held high and his arms swinging wide, eager to discover whatever lies ahead. He may tip over occasionally, but that won’t stop him—he’ll be up and walking again in no time.

3mm厚のアルミニウム板を複雑に曲げ、2本足の繊細なバランスで立つWalking Manは、「金属に命を吹き込む」という発想から生まれました。いつでも、どこでも、どこへでも。Walking Manは、顔をあげ、大きく手を振り、足を開いて、まだ知らない世界に向かって、好奇心いっぱいに歩いています。その先に何があるのかわからなくても、元気と勇気をみんなにふりまきながら。もちろん、ときには倒れてしまうこともあるでしょう。それでもやっぱりいつも歩こうとする態度をやめることはないのです。
